Over the years, as Lucasfilm fills in narrative gaps in Star Wars canon, more Jedi were apparently able to flee before the Clone Troopers massacred them. Initially, only Obi-Wan and Jedi Grandmaster Yoda were the known survivors of Emperor Palpatine's (Ian McDiarmid) evil plan. This means that it has also been a decade since Order 66 which almost wiped out the whole Jedi Order. Marking the much-anticipated return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, the project is set 10 years after Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Lucasfilm is gearing up for the release of its Disney+ show after The Book of Boba Fett. The Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer suggests that more Jedi survived Order 66.
